Heir of Hope

Faith, trust, and pixie dust.

As cheesy as that sounds, that’s basically what an Heir of Hope is (minus the pixie dust) because being an Heir of Hope is trusting pretty much everyone and everything. You’ll keep giving people second chances because why not? Literally, why not? Why shouldn’t that someone deserve a second chance?

But when someone doesn’t get that second chance, when someone is held back from doing what they truly want to and are passionate about because of their financial situation, because people want them to do something else, or for whatever reason, you can just feel a wrench in your gut because they could’ve done it, they honestly could and should, but at the same time, they just couldn’t. And that’s just sad.

And you’ll try to help them. You could have about twenty other things on your plate at that time, but you want to help because they need the help. You might even reach a point where you need to help. You could even be in a tough situation yourself, and yet you’d still try your diddly darn best to help out that other person because then they’ll be able to do what they’ve always wanted. They’ll get that second chance, and that’s the best thing that an Heir of Hope could do in their eyes: let someone else get an opportunity that they never would have had otherwise.

A lot of the time, you’ll do that without thinking about the consequences, but that’s also what the charm of being an Heir of Hope is. You just go go go, more often than not without sparing a second thought, even if it’s not to help someone else. It’s just how you roll. You just go for it, and you pour everything you have into it. It’s all or nothing.

People are going to have “What the fuck is that idiot thinking?” running through their head, but at the same time, they’ll have “Wow. That idiot just dropped literally everything to do that.” and maybe they’ll look on at the Heir of Hope and wonder how exactly they could do the one thing they thought was impossible—the one thing that they warned the Heir against, the one thing they said was going to mess up the Heir’s life and they wouldn’t be able to recover from.

And maybe they’ll try to change. Maybe they’ll take a page from the Heir’s book and try to do their own impossible thing. And maybe they’ll try to figure out what exactly let the Heir of Hope do the impossible.

The answer? Well—as cheesy as this sounds—faith, trust, and pixie dust.
