God I’m so tired of this character in every piece of media. Alt/edgy but still non-threatening sassy female sidekick who exists to validate the boring ass main character in a weak attempt to convince us that he’s not complete 2D garbage.

I honestly don’t even know where to start??? Like usually these girls are visually sickening in how little they fit with the rest of the design direction, especially hilarious in stylized media where they just couldn’t tone down the edge enough for it to be cohesive and she’s just there the whole way through looking like someone’s terrible OC.

And you can tell whoever’s writing her has given themselves a grand old pat on the back for writing such a Strong Female Character when it’s painfully obvious to anyone with eyes that he’s fulfilling some drawn-out manic-pixie-girl fantasy like  -retch- to be honest.

She can hack or fight at the beginning and she’s ~so cool~ so that later on when the MC Elliott/Mike/Jason have their Obligatory Badass Moment she can look up in open-mouthed awe at how cool he is and the universe is back where it belongs yay.

She’s lazy, uninspired and I’m going to physically train my body to shit itself whenever I see a character with a pink streak and fingerless gloves standing to the left of a boring wanker.

Give Zooey Deschanel a fucking break and stop googling urban fashion trends. Please.
